IceSL
Advanced modeling and slicing for 3D printing
IceSL is a 3D printing slicer that converts STL files to G-code and includes modeling capabilities. It addresses the need for detailed control over slicing and infill, offering browser-based tools such as an online slicer and modeler, along with Python bindings. Documentation, guides, tutorials, a cheatsheet, a forum, and an FAQ are available for support.
Features include non-planar slicing, anisotropic appearance infillers, flexible material infillers, distance-based infill density, a compass UI for direction fields, custom infillers, adaptive slicing, per-layer settings, offsets, self-supporting internal structures, color fused fabrication, local deposition brushes, implicit surfaces, advanced bridge supports, progressive infills, cubic, tetrahedral and hierarchical infillers, and varying width deposition. The software is packaged as IceSL-forge, which includes a script editor, and IceSL-slicer, which does not; both monitor changes to Lua script files. A web version is available for platforms without native support. IceSL is free for research purposes, with other uses requiring contact for licensing.
