Apache Qpid

Messaging built on AMQP

Visit Apache Qpid

Apache Qpid is an Apache project that provides messaging tools built on AMQP, an open internet protocol for reliably sending and receiving messages. It supports multiple languages and platforms, allowing developers to build applications and deploy messaging networks that interoperate through a common protocol.

The project includes Qpid Proton, an AMQP messaging toolkit; Qpid JMS, which provides JMS with AMQP support; and Broker-J, a pure-Java AMQP message broker. Additional components listed include the Qpid Messaging API, a C++ broker, and the Dispatch router. Security updates are published for Broker-J, the JMS client, Proton, Proton-J, Proton-Dotnet, and ProtonJ2.

Apache Qpid is open source and distributed under the Apache License. It is intended for developers and teams building AMQP-based applications and messaging infrastructure across different languages and platforms.
