HedgeDoc

Ideas grow better together

Visit HedgeDoc

HedgeDoc, formerly known as CodiMD, is an open-source, web-based, self-hosted collaborative markdown editor. It is designed for real-time collaboration on notes, graphs and presentations, allowing users to share a note link with colleagues and begin working together in the browser without installing additional software.

The editor includes presentation mode powered by reveal.js, support for various graphs, diagrams and embedded content, and a permission system for managing note access. It also provides revision history that tracks changes and allows reverting to older versions. HedgeDoc can be deployed on a server using a ready-to-use bundle or a Docker image, and it is designed to run with low system requirements. The project is licensed under AGPL 3.0 and is available on GitHub.

HedgeDoc is intended for individuals, teams and organizations that want to host their own collaborative markdown workspace. The software is free and open source, with a demo available for testing.
