Dillinger is a browser-based Markdown editor that pairs a writing pane with a live rendered preview. It keeps documents in browser storage automatically, so no account is required, and it can import files from GitHub, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, or Bitbucket, then save them back to those services. Files can also be dragged into the editor, and finished documents can be exported as Markdown, HTML, or PDF.
The editor is Monaco-powered, with syntax highlighting, multiple cursors, find and replace, and autocompletion, alongside scroll-synced preview, zen mode, Vim and Emacs keybindings, dark mode, and clipboard image pasting. Extended Markdown is supported, including footnotes, definition lists, tables, fenced code blocks with syntax highlighting, and inline and block math. The product is aimed at people writing documentation, notes, or other Markdown content in the browser, and it is offered as a free, account-free tool with cloud connections to five providers.
