eLabFTW is a free and open source electronic laboratory notebook for storing experiments and protocols, with a laboratory inventory management system, a resource booking scheduler, and advanced permissions. It helps research teams track experiments, manage resources, and collaborate, with entries that can be signed and timestamped using certified systems.

Features include Tags and Categories, a search system, resource linking, monitoring of sensitive and dangerous products, a Scheduler for booking resources and equipment, Team Groups for fine-grained permissions, and multi-team support. It runs in modern browsers on desktop, tablet, and smartphone across Windows, Mac OS, and GNU/Linux, and supports data export and import in various formats, including the .eln file format. The interface is available in more than 21 languages.

eLabFTW is published under the AGPLv3 license with no features behind a paywall. It is installed on a server by a Systems Administrator using containerized services (Podman/Docker/K8s) and GNU/Linux server administration, or used through a managed hosted solution. A demo is available, and PRO Support is offered.
