An ultra-lightweight blogging engine, written in PHP.

Visit Chyrp Lite

Chyrp Lite is a PHP blogging engine for hosting a blog on your own web server. It supports traditional blogs, tumbleblogs, or a general-purpose web publishing platform with blogging features. Content is handled through Feathers for text, quotes, links, and media, plus Pages for articles separate from blog content.

It ships with six blog themes and a responsive HTML5 administration console. Features include plain text, Markdown, or raw markup input, extensions, the Twig template engine for themes, a rights model for users and visitors, webmentions, and bundled modules for tagging, commenting, and caching. Semantic markup and ARIA labelling support assistive technologies.

Chyrp Lite is suited to shared hosting environments and is distributed as an open source project available from GitHub.
