HTMLy

Open source databaseless PHP blogging platform and flat-file CMS

Visit HTMLy

HTMLy is an open source, databaseless PHP blogging platform built as a flat-file CMS. It stores content as files rather than in a database, and uses a unique algorithm to find or list content by date, type, category, tag, or author. It is designed to run on minimal server specifications, including shared hosting with limited RAM, and supports both web-based and file system-based content management.

Built-in features include archives, categories, tags, a sitemap, popular posts, scheduled posts, custom fields, two-factor authentication, a menu editor, full-text search, and one-click updates. New features are added to the core rather than delivered as plugins, and the project states these go through a security audit. The backup feature requires PHP-ZIP, and the platform requires PHP 7.2 or greater along with several PHP extensions.

HTMLy is aimed at individuals and teams running a website or blog on PHP-based hosting. It is open source and available for download, with source code hosted on GitHub; no paid editions, trials, or seat-based plans are indicated.
