PluXml

Blog or CMS based on XML files

Visit PluXml

PluXml is a free-software blog and CMS written in PHP that stores all site data in XML files instead of a database. Because content lives in plain files, a site can be moved by copying its files, which makes it portable. It runs on Apache, Nginx or Lighttpd with PHP 7.2 or higher, and the GD library for image handling.

The platform includes static pages, categories, tags, archives, comment management, a media manager for images and documents, and RSS feeds for posts, comments, tags and categories. It supports five user profiles with different permission levels, customizable themes with mobile support, plugins for extending functionality without writing code, and URL rewriting. PluXml is translated into 11 languages and is released under the GNU General Public License.

It is aimed at individuals, families, small groups and companies that want a self-hosted site without a database. The software is free to download and use, with no paid editions or usage-based plans indicated.
