SnapMagic Search is a search engine and library for electronics design that provides schematic symbols, PCB footprints, 3D models, pinouts, and datasheets for electronic components. It addresses the time involved in sourcing and creating CAD models for parts, including parts not yet in the library, and offers automated checks for footprint manufacturability.
The platform includes a parts library, InstaPart for requesting symbols and footprints, and InstaBuild, a computer-vision tool for building parts. It provides plugins for PCB design tools including Altium, Autodesk Fusion, Cadence Allegro and OrCAD, KiCad, Eagle, DipTrace, PADS, Proteus, and others, along with an API and a desktop app. Footprints follow IPC-7351B and symbols follow IEEE/ANSI standards.
SnapMagic Search is intended for electronics designers and engineers. The library is free for designers; InstaPart is available as credit packs that do not expire, and custom symbol and footprint creation is available by quote.
