maddy Mail Server

Composable all-in-one mail server

Visit maddy Mail Server

maddy Mail Server is a composable, all-in-one mail server that implements the functionality needed to run an email server in a single daemon. It sends messages via SMTP as an MTA, accepts messages via SMTP as an MX, and stores messages while providing access via IMAP. It also implements auxiliary protocols used to keep email secure, including DKIM, SPF, DMARC, DANE, and MTA-STS, replacing Postfix, Dovecot, OpenDKIM, OpenSPF, OpenDMARC, and more with uniform configuration.

The server provides SMTP, LMTP, and Submission endpoints, an IMAP4rev1 endpoint (currently in beta), and an SMTP message routing pipeline with local queue and remote MX delivery. It supports DKIM signing, SPF and milter checks, DNSBL lookup, and authentication providers including password tables, PAM, LDAP, and Dovecot SASL. Storage options include SQL-indexed storage, filesystem, and Amazon S3, with OpenMetrics/Prometheus telemetry available. It integrates with Dovecot, external SMTP servers, rspamd, and Mailman 3, and can be deployed via Docker.
