iTop is an open-source ITSM and CMDB platform developed by Combodo, a French company founded in Grenoble in 2010. It centralizes IT service management and configuration data, helping teams handle requests, incidents, problems, and changes while maintaining visibility over their IT environment through a configuration management database.
Core capabilities include an integrated service catalog with SLA-driven management, request and incident handling with approval automation, ITIL-compatible change management, and a CMDB with automated impact analysis and data synchronization. Integration is supported through a REST API, webhooks, collectors for tools such as OCS Inventory, VMware, Microsoft Graph, Azure, vSphere, and Ansible, and analytics connections like PowerBI. Customization is handled through the iTop Designer low-code tool, alongside activity monitoring, dashboards, reporting exports, security features, project and release management, and automation.
iTop is offered as a free Community edition alongside commercial editions (Atelier and Forge) with differing agent limits and service levels, available as SaaS or on-premise. Combodo also provides support, consultancy, and training services.
