WildFly

WildFly is a flexible, lightweight, managed application runtime that helps developers build applications using enterprise Java standards. It solves the problem of providing a reliable, standards-compliant environment for running Jakarta EE and MicroProfile applications while minimizing resource consumption and simplifying configuration.

The server uses JBoss Modules for true application classloading isolation, hiding server implementation classes and only linking with required JARs. Its configuration is centralized and organized by subsystems, with management access available through a CLI, web-based administration console, native Java API, HTTP/JSON REST API, and JMX gateway. WildFly supports the latest Jakarta and MicroProfile standards, including Jakarta RESTful Web Services, Jakarta JSON Processing, and Jakarta Data. It is built on pluggable subsystems that can be added or removed as needed, and takes an aggressive approach to memory management to reduce heap allocation and object churn.

WildFly is designed for developers and organizations building enterprise Java applications. It is an open source community project sponsored by the Commonhaus Foundation, following a time-boxed release model with major or minor releases every three to four months. The project is fully open source with all components available under open source licenses.
