Open source wiki software for documentation

Visit Wiki.js

Wiki.js is an open source wiki application for writing and organizing documentation. It runs on Node.js and can be installed on-premises or on a cloud provider, with support for PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MS SQL Server and SQLite databases. Content can be edited in Markdown, a visual WYSIWYG builder, or plain HTML, with version tracking and comparison. It is released under the AGPL-v3 license.

Features are organized into modules that can be enabled or disabled as needed, covering authentication (local, social, enterprise, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, 2FA), editing, history, localization, media assets, rendering, search, storage, user management and themes. Rendering includes code highlighting, diagrams and math expressions. Search can use the built-in engine, Elasticsearch or cloud search services. Storage options include Git services (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket, Azure DevOps), enterprise cloud storage (AWS S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean Spaces) and local or network storage. User management supports groups, permissions and page rules. The interface is available in over 40 languages with native RTL support and multilingual content.

Wiki.js is self-hosted and can be deployed on-premises or via a cloud provider, including a one-click install on the DigitalOcean Marketplace.
