Virtual Machine Manager

Manage virtual machines with virt-manager

Visit Virtual Machine Manager

Virtual Machine Manager is a desktop user interface for managing virtual machines through libvirt. It primarily targets KVM virtual machines while also supporting Xen and LXC (Linux containers), providing a summary view of running domains along with live performance and resource utilization statistics.

Wizards handle the creation of new domains and the configuration and adjustment of resource allocation and virtual hardware. An embedded VNC and SPICE client viewer presents a full graphical console to the guest domain. Supporting tools include virt-install for provisioning operating systems from the command line, virt-viewer for interacting with the graphical display of a guest OS, virt-clone for cloning inactive guests, virt-xml for editing libvirt domain XML, and virt-bootstrap for setting up the root file system for libvirt-based containers.

virt-manager is intended for users managing virtual machines on Linux and other supported systems. It is installed from the operating system distribution's package manager or obtained as a source release; no paid editions, trials, or seat-based plans are indicated.
