Proxmox

Powerful open-source server solutions

Visit Proxmox

Proxmox develops open-source server software for data center operations, covering virtualization, backup, mail security, and multi-site management. Proxmox Virtual Environment (Proxmox VE) is the core virtualization platform, combining QEMU/KVM virtual machines and LXC containers with high availability clusters, live migration, software-defined storage (Ceph), SDN networking, and integrated backup through Proxmox Backup Server. Proxmox Mail Gateway handles inbound and outbound mail filtering, while Proxmox Datacenter Manager provides a centralized interface for overseeing multiple Proxmox VE clusters, nodes, and backup server instances across data centers.

Proxmox VE includes features such as HA clustering with dynamic balancing, NVIDIA vGPU support, PCIe passthrough, ESXi import, Fibre Channel and iSCSI storage, EVPN/VXLAN/BGP networking, distributed firewalls, AD/LDAP/OpenID Connect integration, RBAC, API tokens, and automation via REST API, Ansible, and Terraform. Proxmox Datacenter Manager adds multi-cluster management, cross-cluster live migration, custom views, centralized update management, and LDAP/Active Directory/OpenID Connect authentication. The software is licensed under GNU AGPLv3.

Proxmox VE is packaged as annual per-socket subscriptions in Basic, Standard, and Premium production support tiers, plus a Community subscription for non-production environments; all tiers include the full feature set, differing in support entitlements, ticket allowances, and response times. Proxmox Datacenter Manager is included with active Enterprise Support subscriptions for managed products. Technical support ticket access is available to Basic, Standard, and Premium subscribers, with community forum support otherwise.
