utterances
A lightweight comments widget built on GitHub issues
Comments are stored as GitHub issues, so there is no separate database. The widget is styled with Primer, GitHub's CSS toolkit, and includes a dark theme. It is written in vanilla TypeScript with no font downloads, JavaScript frameworks or polyfills for evergreen browsers. The service states there is no tracking and no ads, and that it is always free.
