TortoiseSVN

The coolest interface to (Sub)version control

Visit TortoiseSVN

TortoiseSVN is an Apache Subversion client for Windows, implemented as a Windows shell extension. It provides a graphical interface to SVN directly from Windows Explorer, so the Subversion command line client is not required. It is developed under the GPL and is free to use, including in commercial environments.

The tool exposes Subversion commands from Explorer, shows file status in the file manager, and supports http, https, svn, svn+ssh, and file protocols. Its commit dialog includes a spell checker, path and keyword autocompletion, and per-project settings. It can graph revisions and commit statistics, compare branches or tags, and integrate with web-based issue trackers through issue-number fields, links, and log columns. TortoiseSVN also includes TortoiseMerge for diffs, conflict resolution, and patch application; TortoiseBlame for line-level history; TortoiseIDiff for image comparison; and SubWCRev for embedding revision data in source files. It is available in multiple languages and includes a crash reporting tool.
