DroidEdit

A text and code editor for Android

Visit DroidEdit

DroidEdit is a text and source code editor for Android tablets and phones. It provides syntax highlighting for several languages, including C, C++, C#, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Lua, LaTeX, and SQL, along with infinite undo and redo, search and replace, auto and block indentation, bracket matching, go to line, and configurable keyboard shortcuts. It can keep opened files and changes between sessions, open files from Dropbox or a file manager, support character encodings, share documents with other services, and preview HTML files in a browser. It can also run SL4A scripts directly.

The Pro version adds SFTP/FTP support, Dropbox support, custom themes, root mode, and running external commands through SSH. The app is packaged as an ad-supported free version and an ad-free paid version; the paid version has the same functionality as the free version except that it lacks SFTP support, Dropbox support, custom themes, and root mode. DroidEdit is aimed at developers and other users working with code on Android devices, particularly tablets with external keyboards.
