SIPCAPTURE HOMER

VoIP & RTC Analyzer

Visit SIPCAPTURE HOMER

HOMER is an open-source SIP capture, analysis and monitoring system for VoIP and RTC traffic, part of the wider SIPCAPTURE stack. It captures signaling through HEP/EEP encapsulation, port mirroring and IP Proto4 (IPIP), enabling search, end-to-end call-flow analysis and packet drill-down without altering the original IP datagram and header contents.

The system includes a Capture Server with multiple database options, a search/filter interface, native call-flow and PCAP views, statistic charts and analytics, a REST API with widgets, and multi-user support via LDAP and Radius. The Capture Agent provides HEP3 encapsulation with payload encryption and compression, TLS support, and a modular design covering SIP, RTP/RTCP, logs and CDRs, running on Linux, Solaris, BSD/OSX and Win32. The core HEP/EEP protocol handles SIP signaling, RTCP, RTCP-XR, WebRTC signaling, log collection and geo mapping, with Docker support. It works with capture agents and platforms including Kamailio, OpenSIPS, Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, RTPEngine, sipgrep, sngrep and hepipe.

HOMER is aimed at ITSPs, VoIP providers and trunk suppliers working with VoIP services and RTC technologies. The software is open-source, with donations accepted for development. Commercial support is offered separately through the hepic stack, covering development support, production support with SLA plans, hotfixes and upgrades, and training; pricing for these services is available by quote, and a hosted hepic.cloud option is also offered.
