ShellHub is a centralized SSH gateway for remotely accessing and managing Linux servers, IoT devices, virtual machines, and Docker containers. Devices connect through a reverse connection initiated by the ShellHub Agent, allowing them to remain hidden on the network. The platform provides a secure way to control distributed devices from a web browser, mobile app, or standard SSH client, addressing the need for centralized access management and protection against unauthorized connections.
Core capabilities include session recording with playback, firewall rules, role-based access control, multiple namespaces, device tagging, audit logging, port forwarding, SCP/SFTP file transfer, multi-factor authentication, key-based authentication, and an in-browser terminal. The ShellHub Agent can be deployed through FreeBSD ports, Snap packages, Buildroot, Yocto Project layers, or Docker containers. A Desktop Client is also available, along with API keys for programmatic access.
ShellHub is offered as an open-source Community edition on GitHub, a metered Cloud SaaS subscription, and an Enterprise edition with Managed and On-Premises options. Cloud includes a free tier for up to three devices, while Enterprise offers a free trial on request.
