Pidgin

Chat client for signing in to multiple chat networks at once.

Visit Pidgin

Pidgin is a chat client that lets you sign in to multiple chat networks at the same time, so you can be active on one network while connected to another. It runs on Windows, Linux, and other UNIX-like systems; for macOS, the site points to Adium instead.

Out of the box it supports Jabber/XMPP, Bonjour, Gadu-Gadu, IRC, Novell GroupWise Messenger, Lotus Sametime, SILC, SIMPLE, and Zephyr, with additional networks available through plugins. Features include file transfers, away messages, buddy icons, custom smileys, and typing notifications, and plugins extend functionality further. The interface is translated into many languages.

Pidgin is free, contains no ads, and is released under the GNU General Public License, with source code available to modify and redistribute. Releases are frequent and driven by user contributions such as issues and contributions.
