MetaCPAN
A search engine for CPAN.
MetaCPAN is an open source search engine for the Comprehensive Perl Archive Network (CPAN), the archive of code and documentation for the Perl programming language. It provides a web-based view and a mirror of canonical CPAN content, helping developers find and inspect Perl modules and their documentation.
The service is split into two parts: the metacpan.org front end and the api.metacpan.org API. The API supports custom CPAN search queries, allowing developers to extract data from and about CPAN to build their own search tools. The project's code is freely available on GitHub, and the site links to free learning resources for people getting started with Perl. MetaCPAN is a community effort that welcomes contributors.
