Mealie

Material design inspired recipe manager with category and tag management, shopping-lists.

Visit Mealie

Mealie is a recipe manager designed for households to collect, organize, and plan meals together. Recipes can be created through a scraper that reads URLs, by importing HTML or JSON, with a manual editor, or through AI-assisted import that accepts URLs (including video links), images of written recipes, and plain text. Imports are also supported from services such as Tandoor, Nextcloud Cookbooks, Paprika, Chowdown, Plan to Eat, and others.

Recipes are organized with categories, tags, and tools, and grouped into cookbooks that act as saved filtered views. The app includes a meal planner with planner rules for random recipe selection, shopping lists with labels, notifiers powered by Apprise, webhooks, and custom recipe actions. It exposes an API for integrations and supports authentication via LDAP and OpenID Connect, with SQLite or PostgreSQL storage.

Mealie is self-hosted and suited to families or groups managing shared recipes and meal plans, with groups and households for multi-user setups. It offers an API, community guides for integrations such as Home Assistant and n8n, and iOS shortcuts.
