M/Monit

Pro-active monitoring for distributed computer systems

Visit M/Monit

M/Monit is a monitoring and management application for distributed computer systems, built on the open source Monit utility for Unix systems. It provides a web interface for managing Monit-enabled hosts, performing automatic maintenance and repair, and taking action when errors occur. It can start, restart or suspend processes, monitor system resources, servers, disks, files and folders, and raise alerts.

M/Monit includes a responsive user interface, status and uptime reports, event drill-down, real-time charts, trend predictions, and remote service control. It monitors processes, servers, cloud resources, disks, files and folders, and supports network connection tests over TCP, UDP and Unix Domain Sockets, including protocol-level tests. It also provides file checksum verification, rule-based alert filters and aggregation, access roles, dark and light themes, and alert integration with services such as Discord and PagerDuty. The application uses a threaded, non-blocking, event-driven architecture and includes an HTTP REST API and a native API for extension. It runs on POSIX systems and supports SQLite, MySQL and PostgreSQL.

M/Monit is intended for administrators managing Monit-enabled hosts, including background and daemon processes, and is packaged as a downloadable application with a free trial.
