Lightstreamer

Real-time data streaming and messaging platform for delivering live data to web, mobile

Visit Lightstreamer

Lightstreamer is an event broker designed to deliver real-time data reliably across the unpredictable conditions of the internet. It solves the problem of maintaining live data streams through proxies, firewalls, network congestion, and frequent disconnections, ensuring that end users stay synchronized without manual intervention. Its Intelligent Streaming approach dynamically adjusts data flow to each client’s network, resampling and conflating updates on the fly to prevent delays and data aging.

The product connects to backends through custom adapters built with Java, Python, Node.js, .NET, or TCP sockets, and offers pre-built connectors for Kafka, MQTT, and JMS. On the client side, it provides SDKs for web browsers, Android, iOS, Windows, Linux, Apple, Flutter, and Unity, supporting languages such as JavaScript, Swift, Kotlin, Java, Python, and C++. Key capabilities include automatic transport selection via StreamSense, delta delivery, data conflation, bandwidth throttling, in-app and push notifications, and fine-grained subscriptions. It also supports bidirectional messaging and request-response interactions.

Lightstreamer is suited for enterprises and developers building mission-critical applications in finance, gaming, telemetry, logistics, and media. It is available through a free trial, with editions that are typically licensed on a server or concurrent connection basis.
