Langfuse
Open source platform for tracing, evaluating and improving AI agents and LLM applications.
Langfuse is an open-source AI engineering platform for tracing, prompt management, evaluation, and metrics of LLM applications. It captures hierarchical traces of LLM calls, tool invocations, and retrieval steps, helping teams debug behavior, monitor cost and latency, and improve quality using production data.
Core modules include Observability, Evaluation (LLM-as-a-judge, heuristic functions, and human review), Prompt Management with one-click deployments and rollbacks, a Playground for comparing models, Experiments with test cases, Human Annotation queues, and Cost & Latency dashboards with automated alerts. It is OpenTelemetry-native, with native Python and TypeScript SDKs, a CLI, and an MCP Server, plus integrations across agent frameworks (LangChain, Vercel AI SDK, CrewAI, LiteLLM), model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock, Google Gemini), and developer tools. The Langfuse Assistant investigates production data and takes approved actions within the platform.
Langfuse is aimed at developers and teams building LLM applications and agents. It is available as Langfuse Cloud (a managed multi-tenant SaaS with US, EU, Japan, and HIPAA data regions), self-hosted open-source under an MIT license, or a self-hosted Enterprise Edition with additional security features and support. A free tier is available with a monthly observation allowance, and no credit card is required.
