KGPrune

Extract subgraphs of Wikidata related to input entities of interest using analogical prun

Visit KGPrune

KGPrune is an application for extracting a subgraph of Wikidata related to input entities of interest. It starts from seed entities and keeps or prunes their neighboring entities, producing a subgraph tied to a chosen domain. The resulting subgraph can serve as a nucleus for bootstrapping a new knowledge graph or as a supporting structure for knowledge extraction and mining approaches.

The tool is available through a web interface and an API, both offering concrete examples and visualization of the model's decision-making process. The pruning approach uses analogical pruning, with the backend model's source code available as open source. Queries on the hosted deployment are subject to a 10-minute time limit per query; users can deploy their own instance to avoid this restriction, and contact is provided for customized solutions.

KGPrune is aimed at users working with Wikidata who need a focused subgraph for knowledge graph construction, extraction, or mining. It was developed as part of the AT2TA project by researchers at Université de Lorraine, CNRS, LORIA, Université Côte d'Inria, and Orange. The pages do not describe a free plan, trial, or pricing tiers.
