KeePassX

Secure personal data management with a cross-platform password manager

Visit KeePassX

KeePassX is a cross-platform, open-source password manager that stores usernames, passwords, URLs, attachments, and comments in a single encrypted database. Entries can be given custom titles and icons, organized into customizable groups, and searched within a single group or across the entire database. The database format is compatible with KeePass Password Safe.

Features include an experimental autofill function, a customizable password generator with a quality indicator, and database access protected by a password, a key file, or both. The database is encrypted using AES or Twofish with a 256-bit key. Entries can be imported from PwManager and KWallet files and exported as a text file. KeePassX is free software released under the GNU General Public License, and development has stopped.
