Passbolt is an open source credential platform for managing, sharing, and autofilling passwords and secrets. It addresses insecure credential sharing by providing end-to-end encryption, granular permissions, and auditing, with options to self-host on-premises or use a cloud service.

Features include password management with browser, desktop, and mobile apps, privileged access management with Just-In-Time access and least-privilege enforcement, and secret management for DevOps via API, CLI, and SDKs for CI/CD integration. It supports SSO, MFA, SCIM provisioning, account recovery, and activity monitoring. Cryptography is based on OpenPGP with per-user private keys and signed operations.

Passbolt targets IT teams, DevOps, and security-conscious organizations of varying sizes. It is available as an open source Community Edition and a paid edition, deployable on-premises, in Passbolt's European cloud, or as a cloud-native application, including air-gapped environments.
