AxCrypt is file encryption software for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS that protects files and folders with AES-256 encryption and a zero-knowledge model, so only the user holds the keys. It addresses encrypting data before sharing or storing it in cloud services such as Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox, and includes an encrypted vault for storing and sharing files and folders.
Beyond file encryption, AxCrypt includes a password manager for passwords, cards, and notes, a password generator, an end-to-end encrypted messenger, and text encryption that converts plain text into an encrypted link. It supports secure file sharing with other AxCrypt users, secure folders and subfolders, file wipe, anonymous file rename, multi-factor authentication, account key backup, and cloud security integration. The Business edition adds administration features such as admin roles, audit logs, groups management, group key sharing, master key recovery, and user access control.
AxCrypt is offered as a free plan with limited monthly encryption and sharing, a Premium edition for individuals and families, and a Business edition for organizations and teams. Paid plans are billed annually and can be tried for 14 days.
