Gridware

Protecting the Grid Today, Preparing the Grid Tomorrow

Visit Gridware

Gridware provides grid monitoring technology for electric utilities, capturing electrical, physical, structural, and environmental conditions directly at the pole. The platform addresses what the company calls Hazard Awareness Delay—the gap between a hazard developing and a utility learning of it—by detecting, localizing, and identifying hazards such as fallen limbs or damaged lines before they cause outages. The company describes this category as Active Grid Response.

The Gridscope multi-sensor is a self-powered device installed on utility poles, sampling conditions 6,000 times per second. It runs on-device analytics to report the type, location, and severity of hazards, and continues operating during outages using solar power. Communication combines device-to-device, cellular, and satellite links, while edge processing delivers insights locally without reliance on cloud connectivity. Installation is a four-screw process that does not require de-energizing lines.

Gridware is built for electric utilities and their line crews, developed in partnership with utility companies. The pages do not describe specific editions, seat-based or usage-based packaging, free plans, or trials; contact is made through a scheduled call or contact form.
