Gpg4win

A secure solution for file and email encryption.

Visit Gpg4win

Gpg4win (GNU Privacy Guard for Windows) is free software for encrypting and signing files and emails on Windows. It is the official GnuPG distribution for Windows and supports both OpenPGP and S/MIME (X.509) certificates, including SmartCard use for each. It includes Kleopatra for certificate management, GpgEX for signing and encrypting files from Windows Explorer, and the GpgOL plugin for signing and encrypting emails in Microsoft Outlook.

Kleopatra handles OpenPGP and S/MIME certificates in one tool, with import and export to certificate servers and certification of trusted OpenPGP certificates. GpgEX signs and encrypts single files or folders from Windows Explorer, producing gpgtar archives, and both Kleopatra and Explorer can create and verify checksums using SHA-1, SHA-256 and MD5. GpgOL signs and encrypts Outlook emails and attachments, with verification and decryption in Outlook; Kleopatra pre-selects certificates by email address. An installer and the Gpg4win Compendium documentation are provided in German and English.

Gpg4win is aimed at Windows users who need file and email encryption, including security-aware system administrators configuring trusted X.509 root certificates. It is Free Software, mostly licensed under the GNU GPL, and its use is free of charge.
