FileOpen

Control access to valuable information, at scale.

Visit FileOpen

FileOpen is a document rights management system that encrypts and authenticates digital files at scale, including Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. It addresses the problem of controlling access to documents after they have been distributed, allowing permissions to be set, changed, or revoked even after delivery, without requiring end-users to install software or enter passwords.

The platform includes cloud administration, SAML/SSO support, dynamic watermarking, print and copy restrictions, expiration and revocation, secure annotations, usage monitoring, and controlled digital lending. FileOpen BrowserUX enables secure PDF viewing directly in a web browser without plug-ins, and FileOpen Sharebot for Slack controls access to documents shared in Slack. It supports iOS and Android devices, Active Directory, and on-premise encryption.

FileOpen is packaged in three editions: Basic, Pro, and Enterprise, with features such as on-premise operation, SSO authentication, and MS Office support added at higher tiers. Pricing is determined by a quote based on admin seats, end-users, document volume, and authentication requests; per-seat costs may apply for enterprise implementations. Technical support is included with the annual license, and organizations can start with a basic implementation and scale up over time.
