Files.com is a cloud-based managed file transfer and file sharing platform that connects cloud storage, on-premise servers, and partner endpoints into a single system. It supports SFTP, FTP, FTPS, and WebDAV protocols, along with share links, upload inboxes, and browser-based document preview and editing, replacing separate MFT servers, SFTP servers, and file-sharing tools.
The platform includes Automations that trigger on file arrival, schedules, or webhooks to copy, move, delete, and route files with automatic retries and audit logging. It offers 50+ native integrations, data transformation for formats such as EDI, HL7, XML, JSON, and CSV, and native desktop apps for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android that mount cloud storage as a local drive. A full REST API is available with SDKs for Python, Ruby, Go, Java, .NET, JavaScript, and PHP, plus CLI and Terraform support, webhooks, and an MCP server. Security features include SSO, SCIM, MFA, role-based access, encryption in transit and at rest, and an immutable audit trail.
