FastNetMon is a network-level DDoS detection and mitigation platform that analyses live traffic to identify volumetric and packet-rate attacks in near real time, then triggers mitigation actions based on operator-defined rules and workflows. It collects telemetry from routers and switches using sFlow, NetFlow, IPFIX, jFlow and mirrored traffic, establishing a baseline of normal behaviour to flag abnormal patterns associated with L3 and L4 attacks within seconds.
Mitigation options include BGP BlackHole (RTBH) automation, BGP FlowSpec-based traffic filtering, and automated diversion to external scrubbing centres, alongside blocklist-based filtering from threat intelligence feeds. The platform includes FastNetMon LiveView, a web interface with real-time traffic dashboards, attack history and configuration management, plus historical traffic analysis with Grafana dashboards, traffic visibility for AWS and Google Cloud environments, and APIs and embeddable components for custom workflows. It supports IPv4 and IPv6 across multi-vendor environments using standard telemetry and routing protocols.
FastNetMon is aimed at telcos, ISPs, cloud providers, data centres and enterprise networks. Pricing is based on observed traffic volume per instance, with monthly and yearly plans across several bandwidth tiers and a custom enterprise tier, plus an optional per-user LiveView add-on. A free one-month trial is available.
