YunoHost
A system that installs itself on a server and lets you install and maintain digital apps
YunoHost is a server operating system that installs on hardware such as an ARM board or Raspberry Pi, an old computer, or an online VPS. It lets people with limited technical knowledge install and maintain digital services they control, covering use cases from personal calendars, contacts, passwords, notes, photos, videos, music, and mailboxes to shared files, document editing, accounting, team chat, websites, wikis, social networks, video libraries, blogs, surveys, game servers, forums, and ERP for friends, associations, or companies.
After installation, YunoHost guides the first admin through domain name and router setup, then supports installing applications from an app catalog in a few clicks, along with backups and ongoing server maintenance. A demo is available for evaluation, and installation prerequisites and a guided tour are provided. The project is developed and maintained by volunteers as a non-profit initiative, with a forum, self-help chat, donation option, and code repositories for contribution.
