Yeoman
The web's scaffolding tool for modern webapps
Yeoman is a scaffolding tool for starting new web projects. It provides a generator ecosystem in which generators are plugins run with the `yo` command to scaffold complete projects or parts of them, addressing the setup work involved in beginning a project.
The workflow combines the scaffolding tool `yo`, a build tool (npm scripts, Gulp, Grunt) and a package manager (npm, Yarn). Generators are available for Angular, Backbone, React, Polymer and over 5600 other projects. The tool includes support for linting, testing and minification, and documentation covers discovering generators, creating generators, composability, managing dependencies, file system interaction, user configs, unit testing and debugging.
Yeoman is intended for developers building web applications. It is installed globally with npm, and the documentation includes getting started, a tutorial codelab, resources, deployment, FAQ and support sections.
