BDRShield is a backup and disaster recovery platform from Vembu Technologies, covering servers, endpoints, virtual machines, SaaS applications, databases and files. It centralizes backup management through either a cloud-hosted or self-hosted console, with storage options spanning local, cloud and air-gapped targets. Ransomware protection includes immutable backups and instant recovery to reduce downtime after data loss.
Supported workloads include Windows, Linux and Mac systems, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, Proxmox VE, oVirt, AWS, Azure, SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Exchange and SharePoint. Backup types cover file-level, disk image, item-level SaaS, VM-level, cloud-instance, database and application backups. Storage targets include DAS, NAS, SAN, deduplication appliances, BDRShield Cloud, AWS S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud, Wasabi, MinIO, Backblaze and S3-compatible storage. For MSPs, the platform supports multi-tenant management, PSA/RMM integration, white-label services, and tenant billing and license management from a single portal.
BDRShield is aimed at internal IT teams, MSPs and channel partners across small/medium businesses, enterprises and service providers. It is available as a free cloud sign-up or free on-premise download, with a 30-day free trial providing full-feature access. Partner licensing is offered on monthly, annual or multi-year terms.
