It addresses the need to detect threats, prove recoverability and restore data, applications and infrastructure to a clean state after an incident.
The platform covers discovery and classification of sensitive and PII data, data access governance, air-gapped backup and retention enforcement, eDiscovery, AI-enabled threat detection and hunting, anomaly detection across identities and access, and AI-driven cleanpoint identification. Recovery capabilities include on-demand cleanrooms, full application and infrastructure recovery, granular and forest-level Active Directory recovery, and enterprise-scale cyber recovery automation. It is built on the Metallic AI automation engine and offers AI integrations, MCP Server and Commvault Data Activate extensions. Protected workloads include AI training data, cloud-native apps on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, SaaS platforms such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and Salesforce, DevOps repositories, Active Directory and Entra ID, edge sites and on-premises systems. Integrations include CrowdStrike, CyberArk, Darktrace, Entrust, Microsoft Sentinel, Netskope, Palo Alto Networks Cortex XSOAR, ServiceNow, Splunk and Wiz, with availability through Azure Marketplace and AWS Marketplace.
It is aimed at enterprise IT, SecOps and ITOps teams managing hybrid and multi-cloud estates. A free trial is offered, and the platform is available as Commvault Cloud Unity and Clumio by Commvault for cloud-native workloads.
