Trigger is cloud software for managing projects, tasks and clients, tracking time against those tasks, and invoicing clients. Time logged against tasks can be turned into invoices, with syncing to accounting tools such as Xero, Saasu and FreshBooks. Built by NetEngine, which started the product in 2010 for its own software development team.
Features include task assignment with watcher notifications, Kanban and list views, a team schedule for planning capacity, time tracking in real time or after the fact, an unbilled invoices view, and reporting across companies, projects, tasks and hours. Integrations cover Xero, Saasu and FreshBooks for invoicing, plus Dropbox, Bugsnag, Google Drive, Google Calendar, and imports from Basecamp, Highrise and Active Collab. The app is responsive on iOS and Android.
Trigger is aimed at agencies, consultancies and similar organisations. It is priced per user per month across a free edition and two paid editions, with limits on team members and active projects in the free tier. A 30-day free trial is available without a credit card.
