Teampass

Share passwords securely with a self-hosted team password manager.

Visit Teampass

Teampass is an open-source, self-hosted password manager for teams, deployed on your own servers so credentials stay within your infrastructure. It addresses shared credential management with folder-level access control, role-based rights, and per-user overrides, replacing informal sharing with an auditable model of who can reach what.

The server uses authenticated AES-256-GCM encryption with per-secret salts, PBKDF2 key derivation, and per-user key wrapping. It includes access recertification campaigns, compliance reports with CSV evidence export, per-item history, and a Security Posture Dashboard for weak, reused, breached, and overdue credentials. Linux account passwords can be rotated over SSH without installing agents on target hosts. Identity integrates through LDAP and Active Directory with nested groups, OAuth2/Entra ID single sign-on, and RFC 6238 TOTP. A REST API with Bash and PowerShell clients supports automation, and importers cover Bitwarden, LastPass, 1Password, KeePassXC, and CSV, with export to KeePass XML, PDF, and encrypted HTML.

Teampass is aimed at individuals, homelabs, teams, SMBs, and regulated enterprises. The server is free and open-source under GPL-3.0 with no seat limits or feature-gated editions; the browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge is a paid add-on.
