It combines direct and history-based workflows in a single interface, aiming to support both quick conceptual work and more precise engineering tasks without requiring a separate desktop workstation.
Core capabilities include constrained sketching with tools such as Line, Arc, Circle, Rectangle, Spline, Ellipse and Polygon, plus automatic and manual constraints including Parallel, Perpendicular, Tangent, Coincident, Midpoint, Concentric, Horizontal/Vertical, Equal and Symmetry. The application also provides 2D drawings, physically-based rendering with materials and environments, AI renders, integrated AR, and a native Apple Vision Pro experience with model editing in XR. Sharing is supported through browser-based review links and a web viewer, while team spaces handle file management. Import and export cover native formats such as PRT, SLDPRT and CATPART, along with XT and STEP, for connection to other CAD systems, simulation tools and manufacturing processes. Hardware support includes SpaceMouse, Wacom tablets, custom keybindings and Apple Pencil.
Shapr3D runs on macOS, iPadOS, Windows and visionOS, with offline, on-device computing. It is positioned for 3D printing, industrial design, woodworking, architectural concepts and manufacturing teams. The software is available as a free download, with paid plans and an Enterprise offering that includes security and compliance options, self-hosted cloud storage and CAD/PLM compatibility.
