QuestDB

Low-latency time-series database on open formats

Visit QuestDB

QuestDB is an open-source time-series database built for ingesting and querying large volumes of time-stamped data with low latency. It addresses the challenge of handling high-throughput event streams while keeping historical data queryable, using a single SQL engine that spans messaging, stream processing, and tiered storage.

Key capabilities include standard SQL with time-series extensions such as materialized views, SAMPLE BY time-bucketing, ASOF JOIN for point-in-time matching, HORIZON JOIN for markouts and TCA, and array support for order-book data. It supports tiered storage with hot data on local storage and cold data as Parquet on object storage, plus high availability through replication and automatic failover. Enterprise features include SSO/RBAC access control, audit logs, TLS, and SLA-backed support, deployable in cloud, on-premises, hybrid, or BYOC environments.

QuestDB is aimed at teams working with market data, telemetry, and other high-volume time-series workloads in capital markets, aerospace, energy, and related domains. It is offered as an open-source core under Apache 2.0, with an Enterprise edition available through a free trial and sales contact for production deployments.
