Powerful and intuitive translation editor

Poedit is a translation editor for gettext PO, XLIFF, JSON, Qt and Flutter files, aimed at translators and developers working on apps, sites and PHP, Python or Linux projects. It validates translation files and tracks progress, with safety checks that flag issues such as incorrect plural forms, missing tokens and mistyped variables, alongside language-aware word counts.

Features include pre-translation, real-time suggestions drawn from local translation history, and string extraction from source code with configurable keywords and extractors. Pro adds machine translation and AI-powered pre-translation, community translation memory, detailed statistics, Twig/Volt/Blade template extraction, WordPress theme and plugin support with FTP-based remote work, and direct email support. Pro+ integrates DeepL, Google Translate and GPT. Crowdin and Localazy projects can be accessed and translated from the app, including offline.

Poedit is available as a free download, with Pro and Pro+ editions for translators and developers who need machine translation, WordPress tooling and collaboration features.
