PNotes is a desktop sticky notes application for Windows, available as PNotes, written in C and Windows API, and PNotes.NET, written in C# and requiring .NET Framework 4.5. It replaces physical sticky notes with virtual ones that can be created, organized, scheduled, protected and shared on a computer. The application can run without installation from a fixed or flash drive, and PNotes.NET can also be started from any drive.

The application includes a PNotes Control Panel for managing notes, groups and subgroups, scheduling and overdue reminders, spell checking, speaking notes, and note exchange over a local network. Notes support rich text, tables, special symbols, subscript and superscript, free drawing, transparency, skins, images and smilies, tags, favorites, pin-to-window, docking, and desktop shortcuts. It offers password protection for individual notes or groups, encryption, visual encryption, e-mailing and SMTP e-mailing, synchronization locally and via FTP, cloud storage plugins including FTP and SFTP, social network plugins for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and VKontakte, import from social networks, export to MS Outlook Notes, and export to PDF, TIF, DOC, RTF or TXT. It also supports custom fonts, right-to-left interface flow, hot keys, menu management, and web search from selected text.
