Partimage
Open-source disk backup software that saves partitions to image files
Partimage is open-source disk backup software that saves partitions with supported filesystems to an image file on a sector basis. It runs under Linux and supports Windows and most Linux filesystems. Images can be compressed, split across multiple files for CDs or DVDs, and saved across the network using built-in network support or Samba/NFS. Only used portions of a partition are copied, skipping free blocks for speed. The project is no longer active; the site recommends alternatives such as fsarchiver, partclone, or tools like xfsdump.
