rsnapshot
Reliable rsync-based backup utility.
rsnapshot is a filesystem snapshot utility based on rsync. It makes periodic snapshots of local machines and remote machines over SSH. It uses hard links to reduce disk space. Files can be restored by the users who own them without root involvement. Once configured, backups happen automatically. It is written entirely in Perl with no module dependencies and has been tested with Perl versions 5.12 through 5.40. It should work on any reasonably modern UNIX-compatible OS.
