OpenDaylight

The open source SDN platform

Visit OpenDaylight

OpenDaylight is an open source SDN (Software-Defined Networking) controller platform. It provides a model-driven, modular architecture for centralized, programmable control and monitoring of networks. It sits between applications and network hardware, offering a unified abstraction layer. The platform supports multiple protocols (e.g., OpenFlow, NETCONF, BGP-LS, PCEP, OVSDB, SNMP) and includes a YANG-modeled architecture with auto-generated REST APIs. It is designed for carrier-grade scale with built-in clustering, sharded data stores, and horizontal scaling. The project is part of LF Networking, a Linux Foundation project.
