OOPSpam is a server-side spam and fraud detection API that screens text-based submissions for bots, manual spam, card testing attacks and other online abuse. It is designed to run without CAPTCHA challenges or JavaScript, and it does not collect or store user data, which keeps forms accessible and avoids conversion barriers. Detection combines a machine learning model with additional measurements, and the service maintains a blocklist of malicious email addresses and IPs that is updated daily.
The API covers contact forms, sign-ups, live chat, reviews and comments, e-commerce transactions and email content. It can also filter by country and language. Integrations include WordPress, WooCommerce, Gravity Forms, Ninja Forms, Contact Form 7, Elementor Forms, Bubble, Craft CMS, Zapier and Make, with additional community-built connectors and direct dashboard integrations for email platforms such as ActiveCampaign, EmailOctopus and Mailchimp. A Domain Reputation API and a Misdetection Reporting API are also available.
OOPSpam is aimed at small businesses through enterprise, including agencies and developers managing multiple sites. It offers a free starting allowance of spam checks without requiring a credit card, followed by monthly or annual paid plans with usage-based limits on API calls, domain reputation watches, log retention and support levels. A higher-volume Scale plan is available for larger usage needs.
