Monash University User Web Pages

Monash University User Web Pages is a university web server that lets Monash users publish personal web pages at addresses in the form https://users.monash.edu.au/~username. Content is stored in a WWW directory within the user's home folder and uploaded over SFTP, providing a simple way to host and update personal web material.

The service supports SFTP connections to users-monash-content.mpc.monash.edu on port 22, with standard SFTP commands such as ls, get and put for transferring files. Windows users can connect with tools such as FileZilla or WinSCP, while Linux and Mac users can connect through a terminal after connecting to the VPN. Usage is monitored for Monash users, and SSL is available for Monash users. The service is governed by Monash University's acceptable use and IT use policies, and content that interferes with service performance, causes loss of data or service, damages hardware or software, manipulates other users' files, or circumvents system security will be removed.
